ARDITI and Invest Madeira took the Deep Ocean Technology Free Zone, a €20 million project, to London.

From 10 to 12 March 2026, ARDITI – the Regional Agency for Research, Technology and Innovation – and Invest Madeira represented the Region at Oceanology International in London, one of the world's leading events for ocean technology and sensing.
The highlight was the Deep Ocean Technology Free Zone, a €20 million investment funded by Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan, praised by European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans Costas Kadis.
Invest Madeira met AICEP in London to position Madeira as a technology hub attractive to foreign investors. The aim is to turn these contacts into research, development and investment projects in the blue economy.
