Cookies and storage used on this site
All of them belong to the site itself (invest-madeira.com). There are no third-party, advertising or social media cookies.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site keeps in your browser. Local storage (sessionStorage, localStorage, IndexedDB and Cache Storage) works in a similar way. The law (Article 5 of Portuguese Law 41/2004, which transposes the ePrivacy Directive) only allows information to be stored or read on your device with your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for.
2. How we use cookies
We use the bare minimum: strictly necessary cookies always run; visit statistics and visit source only run if you allow them. Before you choose, nothing optional is loaded or sent.
Rejecting is as easy as accepting: the notice has "Accept all" and "Reject all" side by side, and you can choose category by category under "Customise".
3. What we do not use
We use no advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) and no share buttons that collect data. Fonts and video thumbnails are served by the site itself, so simply visiting sends no data to Google or other companies.
4. Third-party services you use only if you want to
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, a window from those services opens and they may use their own cookies under their own policies. The same applies if you click a link to YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or Google Maps: you leave our site and those services' rules apply.
5. How to change or withdraw consent
You can change your choices at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or with the "Change my choices" button on this page. When you withdraw permission for the visit source, the stored information is deleted straight away.
Your choice is kept for 6 months; after that, or when this policy changes significantly, we ask again.
6. Browser signals
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and Do Not Track: if your browser sends them, no optional category runs unless you expressly turn it on.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, signing in to the members' area will stop working.
7. More information
The data processed through statistics and visit source is described in the Privacy policy. For questions, contact investmadeira@madeira.gov.pt.
